FROM A MUSICAL STANDPOINT: Daley Road feminist reassures Hottest 100 party he values female artists,
Young music blogger and clamshell kids' pool custodian Michel Kostaris has impressed partygoers with his refined yet socially-conscious attitude to indie and alternative music.
"Yeah I genuinely believe female artists are the backbone of Australia's music industry," Kostaris reportedly told fellow revellers in the preparatory stages of a prolonged garden party. "But like, if Denzel doesn't get #1 I'll seriously question the musical intelligence of this country."
The allegations come in the lead-up to the annual Triple J Hottest 100, which has sparked a dramatic uptick in similar criticisms of the 19-year-old millionaire singer-songwriter among 25-year-old indie pop connoisseurs.
With the arrival of a wider audience of party guests, Kostaris responded to criticisms his largely male-dominated top 10 songs of 2019, shared on several social media accounts over the last few weeks: "It's not about her gender. I hate Milky Chance's Like a Version just as much."
Several of Michel's peers have contested his assertions, highlighting the frequency with which the prolific Byron Bay artist appeared on his Spotify feed between May to August of 2019.
While American teen millionaire Billie Eilish reportedly stands a similar likelihood of victory in this year's countdown, Daley Mail analysts are yet to confirm which young woman's success will incite more fury among the nation's feminist music experts this year.
